August 25th I went racing at my favorite US track – New Jersey Motorsports Park (NJMP).  It was a great day of racing.  A sunny 78 degree day, a great track and I met some really cool kids.  That day they had over 8 Kid Karts competing.  The NJMP staff was really happy to have so many young racers show up and made us feel good about being the “little guys”.  I’ve practiced at NJMP about 8 times in the past year, but the best part was we got to race on the “Liberator” track.  I hadn’t driven on that side of the track since I learned how to Kart with Arie and John back in October 2011.

My friend and fellow racer from Englishtown Raceway Park, Nate (#88) , came with his Dad for their first time at NJMP.  I also met a first time racer who is 5, named Valentin (#25).  He did great his first time on the track in his cool red go kart.  His whole family was there to cheer him on.   He is in the photo above on the right, along with Nate.

It was great to meet and see again some really cool racers like:  Nate, Jack, Craig, Gene, Aidan, Mason, Max, Adam and Jim.  Also thanks to Gene from Virginia for letting me interview him for KidzSpeed and sitting on his cool Ducati pocket bike.

Great racing!
